SAGINAW CO. -- The Associated Press reports nearly 2,000 property owners believe their land was damaged by the dioxin in the Tittabawassee River floodplain.

Dow Chemical has admitted that dioxins have polluted the area’s waters. Those chemicals may cause cancer.  Dow Chemical has had a myriad of lawsuits because of the contaminations.

However, this week a Saginaw County judge has ruled that property owners cannot sue the company through a class action lawsuit. According to the A.P., individuals who feel their land has been damaged must “undergo highly individual factual inquiries.”

Do you think that property owners should be able to file a class action suit against Dow Chemical? Vote on our poll below.
