FLINT -- A man has died, after trying to walk across a busy interstate and being hit by a vehicle early Thursday morning.
It happened on southbound I-75 at Miller Road in Genesee County's Flint Township. Police say the 26-year-old Flint driver tried to avoid 33-year-old Anwar Sadat Gibson, but couldn’t maneuver out of the way in time.
Gibson died from the injuries. The driver was not hurt.
Authorities do not believe alcohol was a factor, but they’re still investigating the cause.
