WWJ Radio has just reported that the group, attempting to recall Governor Rick Snyder, has given up.
According to the report, the Genesee County leader of the effort, Tom Bryant, says the group won’t meet Friday’s deadline to collect 800,000 signatures, and so they’ll now focus on the effort again in February.
Gov. Snyder has received much backlash since taking office for major budget cuts, and setting an emergency financial manager in place.
Supporters say the recently elected Michigan leader is standing by his candidacy promises, and the cuts are a harsh necessity to keep the state afloat.
