DETROIT -- A convicted bank robber, who sued because he wanted access to pornography in jail, has lost the case.
The Associated Press reports a federal judge in Detroit dismissed the because Kyle Richards didn't pay the $350 filing fee, and claimed Richards has a history of filing lawsuits.
Twenty-one year old Richards filed the lawsuit against Governor Rick Snyder and the state in June from the Macomb County jail, because pornography is banned there, according to the Detroit News. The article states Richards wrote, "such living conditions have been used as a method of 'psychological warfare' against prisoners, in order to both destroy the morale of inmates and break the spirit of individuals."
Despite losing the lawsuit, the associated press reports he still may be allowed to get the pornographic material, because the state does allow some sexual material in prison as long as it’s not violent.
