DETROIT -- Ford could be nearing tentative contract agreements with the UAW.
The Associated Press reports union leaders have scheduled a meeting with factories across the nation, most likely indicating a deal has been made. However, the latest information from the talks Sunday showed no finalization.
Forbes.com reports Ford’s deal is expected to be even better than General Motors’, and should include both profit sharing and raises. The media outlet also reports the deal could bring down hourly labor costs. The AP adds that there are promises of creating thousands of new jobs as well.
