A bill that some say could be a disadvantage to employees filing for Worker’s Compensation has passed in the Michigan House committee.

The Associated Press reports the bill will now head to the House floor.

The goal of the bill is to clarify Michigan’s current Worker’s Compensation laws by redefining what can be considered an injury.  The end result would be to reduce the number of worker’s compensation lawsuits.

However, unions tell the AP that they’re concerned this will make it more difficult for employees who are hurt on the job to get the compensation they deserve.

Do you think that the worker’s comp. law needs to be changed? Vote on our poll below and leave us your comments.
