Volunteer patrols seemed to have helped keep arsons at a minimum on “Angel’s Night” this year.

Unofficial totals suggest that Flint Firefighters responded to 7 house fires in their area.  We have learned that one of those homes that went up on flames was a Habitat for Humanity home.

Currently, it appears there were only one or two blazes in the Saginaw area.

Arson watch groups in communities across Mid-Michigan spent the weekend patrolling the streets on the lookout for suspicious activity

Volunteers spent much of last week boarding up empty homes and building in an attempt to prevent any fires and/or tragedies.
