LANSING (AP) -- Michigan snowmobilers will pay more to hit the trails this year.

The state’s Department of Natural Resources state's says permits will cost $45 dollars during winter of 2011.

While the price is $10 more than last year, the DNR says the fee should remain at $45 at least through 2015.

Under a 2008 state law, Michigan is allowed to increase the fee in order to maintain snowmobile trails.
