NBC News reports United Kingdom doctors are calling on the government to ban smoking in the car, even if drivers are alone.
The report says the British Medical Association says smoking in vehicles exposes people 23 times more toxins than in a smoke-filled bar.
Children are even more vulnerable to these toxins.
Parts of the United States have already banned smoking in the car when children are present.
