GENESEE CO. -- The Genesee County Animal Shelter could close it’s doors as county commissioners are looking at ways to shave the budget.

The shelter costs taxpayers around $1 million dollars a year to operate. Some revenue is brought in from the sale of some of those animals.

A meeting will be held on December 19th to discuss the possibility of closing the animal shelter.

Do you think the shelter should close to save the county money, or do you think it is worth keeping open? Vote on our poll and leave us your feedback below.
