Fire engulfs warehouse in Burton
Several departments responded to two fires that broke out just minutes apart Thursday night in Genesee County.
Embassy Styles Beauty & Barber on Flushing Road in Flint caught fire just after 7 p.m.
Firefighters from Flint and Flint Township used a ladder to battle the blaze from the second floor of the business.
The cause of the fire is still not known.
Shortly after 7:30 p.m., a warehouse at Dort Highway and Joyce Street in Burton also caught fire.
The building is located just north of Bristol Road.
The Burton Fire Deparment requested mutual assistance from several neighboring departments, including Grand Blanc.
The Grand Blanc Fire Department provided a ladder, which was used to fight the flames from above.
Around 8:30 p.m., firefighters were pulled out of the building, because it was in danger of collapsing.
