Saginaw has been ranked “the most dangerous city in America.”
The website, nieghborhoodscout.com, ranked the Mid-Michigan city at the number one spot based on the number of crimes committed per capita.
The website reports Saginaw experiences about 1,800 annual violent crimes, and over 4,300 total crimes a year. Based on those numbers, one’s chances of becoming a victim of crime in the city is 1 in 34. That’s well above the state’s average of becoming a victim, which is 1 in 202.
Flintranked number 17 on the website. Pontiac, Detroit, and Battle Creek also placed in the top 100 most dangerous cities of the nation. You can see the complete list by clicking this link.
