Governor Rick Snyder speaks at Delta College
Governor Rick Snyder was in the Great Lakes Bay Region today to talk about a new plan to help people find work.
Snyder wants to develop a talent bank that helps people find training for jobs.
The governor says the state needs to re-think how it looks at education and job training to cut unemployment.
Snyder also took a few moments to talk about the appointment of new Flint Emergency Financial Manager Mike Brown.
"{We want to} Have him get in there and do his work as quickly as possible, then get out. But to get out at a point where Flint is just not going to stay at the bottom or go down farther, but it's got upward opportunity," Snyder tells NBC25.
Snyder made his remarks during a visit to Delta College.
