A new study shows cold therapy can help athletes recover faster.

Researchers in Paris tested muscle recovery treatments on nine, well-trained runners.   they tested three methods: no treatment, far-infrared radiation, and cryotherapy.  Cryotherapy is when the body is exposed to temperatures as cold as a hundred sixty degrees below zero...

Researchers found cryotherapy - or cold therapy - allowed athletes to recover from intense workouts faster -- and accelerated the healing process.  The study was conducted at the National Institute of Sport, Expertise and Performance in Paris.
