Icy roads and snow drifts make for a dangerous commute for Mid-Michigan motorists Monday morning.
At least one traffic death has been reported since a winter storm hit the state. It brought snow, high winds and ice to large portions of western and northern Michigan.
At it's peak on Sunday, about 23,000 homes and businesses lost electrical service throughout the state. About 20,000 of those customers were from DTE Energy Co. Most of the customers had service back on by Sunday night.
As of Sunday night, over five inches had fallen in Sault St. Marie and 4.5 inches had fallen in Traverse City.
Meteorologist Janet Van De Winkle says blowing snow will create low visibility, otherwise only additional light snow is expected throughout Mid-Michigan.
