If you're a customer who likes to pump and then pay, but you hate to "pay before you pump," you might fancy this new technology. A gas station in Saginaw is testing "Post-Pay." It allows you swipe your driver's license to unlock the pump so you can pump before you pay cash.

When customers are done fueling up their vehicle, they can pay for the fuel with cash inside the gas station. The Post-Pay technology was invented by the president of Paxson Oil Company, Bob Hohn. He tells NBC, Post-pay is meant to punish customers who decide to "pump and run" without paying, The information taken from the license is transferred to the police.

Hohn says the license information "cannot" be seen by employees and is not recorded.

There is also a gas station in Bay City testing out the new technology right now.
