SAGINAW COUNTY -- Frankenmuth Police say they started investigating a 43-year old Frankenmuth Township in May of 2011 after two people living in her home made claims of child abuse.
The woman lives in the the 5000 block of Reimer Road. Frankemuth Police say they went to the house and were able to gather enough information to remove two children from the home with the the help of Saginaw County Child Protective Services.
NBC25 has learned of the woman's name and has a photo but we do not want to release that information because we want to protect the children's identity.
The woman was arraigned in a Saginaw County Courtroom Monday and was charged with child torture and abuse.
Her next court appearance will be on February 10th.
