Wife of Mitt Romney campaigning for her husband in Michigan
MUNDY TOWNSHIP -- The Mitt Romney "Believe in America" bus rolled into Mid-Michigan Friday morning, for a swiftly planned campaign stop for Mitt's wife Ann in Mundy Township.
Ann spoke at a breakfast at the AmericInn hosted by the Genesee County Republican Party.
"You do get tired and one day runs into the next and sometimes you forget where you are. But its an important thing that we're doing and I can't lose sight of how important this election is," said Ann.
Mitt Romney and Rick Santorum are neck-and-neck in the polls, with less than two weeks to go before Michigan's primary on February 28th.
Davison High School freshman Matthew Smith attended the breakfast and chose Romney as his candidate a long time ago.
"He has what it takes to change this country. From a freshman listening to news, I believe he is the only candidate who has what it takes," said Smith.
The owner of the AmericInn, George Cook, says he was approached by the Romney campaign in the last few days, but gladly accepted the chance to host the event.
"This is the political season. The news is inundated with political activity," said Cook.
