Brandon Hayes is expected to be sentenced today in a Genesee County courtroom, in the murder and torture of 4 year old Dominick Calhoun.
He faces life in prison. Hayes was convicted by a jury last month. Calhoun was killed in July of 2010 in Argentine Township. Calhoun's mother, Corrine Baker also faces charges in the killing. Dominick's case drew nationwide attention. His grandfather feels the fight moves to Lansing. He wants state legislators to enact tougher child abuse laws.
