A surveillance video from Guiding Light Church on Sunday shows someone pulling up to a van and stealing a catalytic converter 35-minutes into the evening service.
"They'll be caught, maybe not now, but what you sow is what you reap. That's what we tell people at church. Your sins will find you out," says Pastor Michael Horne of Guiding Light Church.
Just down the road Tuesday night, Emmanuel Baptist Church was the next victim.
Six air conditioning units were vandalized. There was no metal taken but $2,500 in damage left.
Interim pastor of Emmanuel Baptist Church Jack Dowden says, "These people don't understand what they're doing to our community. We worked hard to build a place of worship. They're really stealing from God."
The pastor believes it could be out of frustration because these AC units are bolted to the cement.
A few months ago thieves stole four entire units that were not bolted down.
Pastors say they're praying for those responsible to turn their lives around.
"These people particularly need the gospel that we share with people. They need to know that God loves them and sent Jesus to die for them so they can be forgiven."
Genesee Township Police say there has been a rash of thefts from autos.
