A dense fog advisory caused traffic to slow down and delayed the start of schools this morning. More than a dozen Mid Michigan school districts delayed the start of school by at least 2 hours today because of fog. The national Weather Service indicated visibility was reduced to zero in many parts of the state because of fog. There was an accident on Nichols Road in Gaines Township at that time, but it's unclear whether foggy driving conditions played a role.
