Kennedy Carter, 16, from Mayville is asking for your votes to send her to Washington DC!

Carter underwent a kidney transplant just over a year ago. She was on a waiting list for eight months before receiving her transplant. She is now trying to give back by spreading awareness.

March is National Kidney Month and the
American Kidney Fund is asking you to vote in their Calendar Kids Art contest. It recognizes kids with kidney disease for their artistic talent and helps to increase awareness of kidney disease.

You're being asked to help choose the cover art for their 2013 calender. The contest closes March 30th.

here to be taken directly to the contest page. If you want to vote for Kennedy, she is art project number 10!

Good luck Kennedy!
