FLINT -- For a second day Johnny Holden took the witness stand and admitted he initially lied during a preliminary exam about dealing drugs the night his 6-year old son Jonaries Holden was shot to death in the back of his car in November of 2010.
He says he feared he would be seen as a bad person.
Holden went on to describe his argument with DeVontrae Benton just before the shooting.
Benton, who faces murder and assault charges sat quietly during Holden's testimony.
He says Benton had given him a gram of cocaine up front and he owed Benton $60 after selling it.
At one point Holden stood up and described his side of how the shooting happened.
He says Benton swerved his car in front of his car and began shooting shortly after he saw that his son Jonarius had been shot.
When the prosecutor asked who shot at him pointed directly to Benton and when the prosecutor asked who killed his son. He again pointed directly to Benton.
The defense will call its witnesses Thursday when the trial resumes.
