FLINT -- The parking meters in downtown Flint aren't even operational yet, but reports say they have already been vandalized wtih graffiti.

The meters were installed on Monday, and reports are they're expected to be functional within 30 days, once the software and computers are running. Visitors will be charged $1 an hour.

It will be the first time in years Flint has had meters.  The last time the city experimented with parking meters there were multiple incidents of vandalism even some that broke into many of the older, traditional-style meters in the past.

NBC25's Brittany Noble had more on the story this morning on NBC25 Today.
