FLINT -- The pastor of a Flint church says citypolice failed respond to a recent report of a rape at his churchabout four blocks from police headquarters.

John Musgrave is senior pastor at downtown's First Presbyterian Church. He tells The Flint Journal that church staff prevented a second possible sexual assault by the man at the church March 27, an hour after the first report.

Musgrave says an ambulance was sent instead of police after the first call.

Flint 911 Director Stephen Todd says the original call didn't give enough information for dispatchers to know there'd been a sexual assault.

Genesee County Prosecutor David Leyton says 48-year-old Albert Haymer of Flint was charged Tuesday with first-degree criminal sexual conduct. The prosecutor's office didn't say if Haymer has a lawyer.
