BAY CITY -- Some new moms and dads enjoyed April showers - baby showers, that is – Saturday afternoon.
About 120 new and expecting parents took part in the 9th annual Community Baby Shower in Bay City. They participated in a variety of parenting sessions such as Family Fit and Fun, Pathways to Natural Birth and Baby Brain Building 101. The dads were put through Daddy Boot Camp.
No one left empty handed.
"We have full sized play pins, electric breast pumps, um lots of bottles and things like that for the moms to take out of here today. Diapers, diaper wipes, play pens, mats for the floor for activities. Just a whole ray of nice baby things," described organizer Terri Gaiser.
The Bay City Community Baby Shower is held each year, during the third week of April.
