Police respond to the scene of a motorcycle accident on westbound I-69 that shut down the highway for almost two hours on Sunday night.  / Mike McManaman

DAVISON TOWNSHIP -- I-69 was shut down for almost two hours on Sunday night after a man lost control of his motorcycle and crashed.

It happened around 8:30 p.m. on westbound I-69 between State and Irish roads.  The stretch of highway between those two exits were shut down while police investigated the scene.  It is now reopen.

The man's condition is unknown and according to officials, he was not wearing his helmet.
