At several homes in the Lindenwood Farms subdivision in Flint Township, garage sale items become garbage items.
Homeowner Matt Weisgerber says, "It's just sad that it's actually has to be this way."
Neighbors are helping each other clear the debris hanging mats and rugs from trees and fences to dry them out.
You can see remnants of corn stalks from more than a mile away piled up in yards.
Near the intersection of Arlene and Graham, residents rebound from having nine feet of water in their basements.
Homeowner Robyn Ripenbark says, "I walked down one step and touched my toe in water."
It took neighbors four hours to pump the water out leaving them to wonder what are they going to do from here?
"I have no idea. I have no idea what I'm going to do or what," says Ripenbark.
Those affected say they can't find any commercial dehumidifiers in Genesee County to dry out their basements, so they're using fans, trying to do the best they can.
"I've never went through this. You don't know what to do, where to turn, who to turn to," says Weisgerber.
