LANSING (AP) -- Republican presidential hopeful Mitt Romney will be in his home state on Tuesday and will campaign at Dart Auditorium on the campus Lansing Community College.

The appearance will take place early in the afternoon.

Romney will be introduced by fellow Republican and Michigan Gov. Rick Snyder.

Snyder spokeswoman Sara Wurfel said on Monday that Snyder would do the honors.

Romney narrowly won his home state's Republican presidential primary on February 28 over former Pennsylvania Sen. Rick Santorum, Texas Rep. Ron Paul and former House Speaker Newt Gingrich.  Romney won 16 of Michigan's 16 national convention delegates to Santorum's 14.

President Barack Obama was last in Michigan on April18, when he attended Democratic fundraising events in Dearborn and Bingham Farms.
