FRANKENMUTH -- Hundreds of our four-legged, furry friends are strutting their stuff at Frankenmuth's sixth annual Dog Bowl this weekend.

A morning balloon flight kicked off Saturdays festivities.  The Rock-n-Roll K-9 performance got tails wagging, and some pets were dressed up for the costume contest.

The Dog Bowl will draw an estimated 40,000 people from near and far this weekend.

"We just thought it would be a fun weekend we wanted to get familiar with the Dock Dogs for the Border Collie maybe in the future,” Wanda Kendall, of Kentucky, said.

Paula Glazier of Vassar came out “just to see the variety of activities going on for all the different dogs and bring the family out."

Sunday’s Dock Dogs competition begins at 8 a.m.
