FRANKENMUTH -- It’s a big weekend for Frankenmuth’s businesses that are benefiting from the thousands of people in town for the sixth annual Dog Bowl.
Downtown stores like Frankenmuth Old Time Photo are enjoying an uptick in sales from all the foot traffic.
"I got here at 8 o'clock this morning and I opened the door and there were people following me in to get their pictures so it has not been slow,” owner Jamie Morgan said.
Morgan says because the Dog Bowl is free, visitors are willing to spend money at the Frankenmuth River Place shops.
