Two armed men attempted to hold-up a Shell gas station in Saginaw Township. The owner said the two men came into the station around 4p.m. Wednesday afternoon with masks on. They demanded money, but ended up leaving with nothing.
People that frequent the station are divided over whether or not it's safe.
Matthew Heller said, "We just got to be cautious about how we're carrying ourselves around here and I don't think it's that big of a deal. I mean, it's tragic that it happens. That's what goes on in this city especially when it's economically depressed."
Stephanie Isher said, "well usually I don't get too worked up with things like this. . . I guess it makes me want to be more careful wherever I go."
A resident who lives at South Colony Place, which is less than two blocks from the gas station, said police arrested two men shortly after the hold up. NBC25 has not confirmed if the two men were connected to the incident.
The owner said this is the first time something like this has happened.
