SWARTZ CREEK -- Hometown Days gets underway Thursday in downtown Swartz Creek with a carnival filled with music, food and fun.

The event runs Thursday through Sunday in the downtown area.

Hometown Days is a celebration where nearly every business, church, non-profit group, school group, social or fraternal organization join together for fun, fellowship, and some interesting fund raising. Whether you want to sponsor, exhibit, participate or just enjoy checking out all areas of this web site, we are sure you will find something of interest.

Upwards of 40,000 people are expected to attend the annual festival, which has taken over the town.

Crews have set up carnival rides and have brought in tigers and craft shows for the free event which opened Thursday night.

NBC25's Joel Feick will emcee the parade on Saturday.
