FRANKENMUTH -- A new mega sports complex in Frankenmuth could be a future reality as soon as August.  The $7.45 million project is proposed by the Frankenmuth Youth Sports Association and they hope to recover $3 million of the cost in grant money and donations while asking for the other $4.45 million in a bond proposal expected to be on the ballot August 7th.

The facility would be located behind the Kroger on the city's north side on 47 acres of vacant land west of Frank road.  It would boast 60,000 square feet of indoor space as well as 16 outdoor athletic fields.
