MONTROSE TWP. -- June 14th is Flag Day.  A day to proudly hang your American flag and one of the reasons we fly the flag is to salute our veterans.

The Veterans Bell Memorial Committee is planning to build a memorial building at Barber Memorial Park in Montrose Township to honor fallen veterans. What started as a tribute by Charlie Emmendorfer to honor his father-in-law turned into the centerpiece of the proposed Veterans Bell Memorial. The six-foot, one ton stainless steel bell will stand in the middle of a octagon shaped building which is being built with wood chopped down by committee members themselves.

They have the bell and now they need your donations to help fund the construction of the building. Click here if you would like to donate.
