FLINT -- Almost 100 Flint teachers and school administrators have been called back to work after receiving layoff notices last month.

A district spokesman said 57 teachers, 27 administrators and three other school personnel will return for the new school year.

The decision came during the Flint School Board meeting on Thursday night.

More than 200 layoff notices were sent out last month in an effort by the district to balance the budget.
