A local tree trimmer was hurt during an accident in Bay County's Bangor Township.

According to fire marshall Ken Bailey, the 22 year old man from the Sunset Tree Service, was trimming trees on Old Kawkawlin Road near Schuman when the mishap occured. The man was in a bucket truck trimming branches, when he encountered a bees nest. He was pulling on a rope to cut a limb when the rope broke, causing him to fall out of the bucket. Bailey estimates he fell 10 to 15 feet into the back of the truck.

The tree trimmer was rushed to Bay Medical Center. It doesn't appear his injuries are life threatening. The man was able to talk at the scene before the ambulance took him to the hospital.
