FLINT (AP) -- The family of a 2010 Flint serial stabbing victim has a mixed opinion about the possibility that the murder case won't go to trial.

Genesee County Prosecutor David Leyton says he'll weigh costs and the feelings of victims as he considers having more trials or offering plea deals.

Elias Abuelazam was sent to prison this week with no chance for parole after the first trial from the spree. The next murder trial would center on the death of Frank Kellybrew, whose blood was on Abuelazam's shoes.

Kellybrew's brother-in-law Charles McFadden realizes that Abuelazam is locked up for good.

But he says it's hard "to make the family complete without a trial." McFadden hasn't talked to the prosecutor, who filed three murder cases and six attempted murder cases against Abuelazam.
