Classic American muscle was on full display Friday morning as Steve Casner from Back to the Bricks brought by his wife's 1966 Chevy Corvette.
NBC25 is a proud sponsor of the 2012 American Muscle Motorway, which is helping to raise money for this year's special Bricks tribute, lifesize statues of automotive pioneers that helped shape Flint's history.
Joel Rundell, the designer and sculptor of the statues, also stopped by to chat about his involvement with the event.
There is a back-story behind the '66 Corvette, the year 1966 was the year Casner and his wife were married.
On a personal note, I've never seen a '66 Corvetter up-close and personal. I was also able to take a peek under the hood and see just what makes the classic car purr.
Casner expects upwards of 500,000 people to attend this year's Bricks and approximately 40,000 cars will be on display. The event will take place August 14-18 in downtown Flint.
