The Greater Flint Arts Council is the winner of a $50,000.00 grant.
The National Endowment for the Arts is awarding 80 "Our Town Grants," including Flint.
The grant will be used to incorporate an updated community cultural plan into the city's new master plan, hoping to transform Flint into a lively, more beautiful and sustainable place with the art's at the core.
“The arts have a significant impact on our economic recovery, and we are excited to have an opportunity to bond with the arts community,” said Flint Mayor, Dayne Walling.
