Man accused in sexually assaulting mentally disabled child

SAGINAW -- A 73-year-old man has been accused of sexually assaulting a girl for almost 17 years while creating pornographic images of her.

The victim claims Robert Potts started assaulting her in 1995 when she was just nine years old.

Police say the girl was developmentally disabled and was assaulted at Potts' Bridgeport Township business.

Potts is charged with three counts of first degree criminal sexual content.  He was arraigned on Thursday morning and is currently being held in the Saginaw County Jail.

It's beleived there may be more victims.  Anyone with more information is asked to call Detective David Kearns at 989-790-5446.
