FLINT -- Johnnie Tyrell Johnson, Jr. of Flint has been found guilty of first degree pre-meditated murder, felon in possession of a fire arm, and felony firearm third offense for the 2009 shooting death of Demario Dupree.

June 14, 2009 Johnson, Jr. shot Dupree as he was walking out of Club What's Next near Pasadena Ave and Clio Road in Flint Township.  Johnson, Jr. shot Dupree several times with an AK47 assault rifle.  Dupree died at the scene.

Testimony at the trial indicated Johnson, Jr. killed Dupree in retaliation for a homicide he thought Dupree was responsible for in 2006.

Johnson will be sentenced on October 15, 2012.
