FLINT -- Motorcycle engines are being heard throughout downtown Flint as Bikes on the Bricks wraps up this weekend.

Bikers are known as a brotherhood and the same goes for the police department. Bikes on the Bricks is bringing these two together for one last classic event on Saginaw Street.

This years event nearly doubled in size and the sense of family is keeping motorcyclist’s coming back for more.

“Just the comradery of seeing everyone else who likes to ride bikes no matter who you are or where you come from,” said rider John Ward.

And police departments from all over sent their best riders to compete in many competitions like the Flint Arrow Obstacle Course.

“The training aspect always continuous training to keep us safer better motorcycle operators,” said Inspector Andy Norrie of the Toronto Police Department.

Flint Mayor Dayne Walling knows the dangers officers face on the road and what the event means for the community.
