SAGINAW -- Police responded to the Birch Park housing complex located near Hess Road in Saginaw around 3:15 Sunday afternoon for a double shooting.
When they arrived, they found a 19-year old man suffering from a gunshot wound to his neck and another 21-year old man with a gunshot wound to his shoulder.
Police say they first were dispatched to the housing complex for a fight involving about 20 people. A second fight was reported Sunday afternoon involving about 50 people. And police say they were on their way to a third fight that afternoon when the shooting was reported.
The 19-year old victim died at the scene. The 21-year old victim was treated and released from the hospital.
More than 20 bullet casings were discovered at the scene.
This is the 18th homicide in Saginaw in 2012.
