BAY CITY -- The Great Lakes Bay Moms group hosted the first-ever block party Saturday.
The group has a website and works to provide information to new parents.
The block party featured a bounce house, planetarium show and more free activities.
Organizers also kicked off the Bay Arenac Great STart Diaper Drive. They hope to fill an entire bus with diapers.
"Showing there's cool stuff to do here. Let's go out and support one another in doing it," says Liberty Starkweather of Great Lakes Bay Moms."
"It's really nice to see parents and families down here which is nice because when you're a parent you don't get to see each other often," says mom Leah Werth.
The event was coordinated with the Delta College Planetarium.
