Flushing HS Cheerleaders support Breast Cancer Awareness

A group of enthusiastic Flushing High School cheerleaders can really belt it out at 5 am! (see video)
The girls, who range in age from 16 to 18, will be cheering on the Flushing Raiders at tonight's home game against Flint Northwestern H.S. They are requesting everyone wear pink to the game, in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. It's all part of an event called "Tackling for a Cure" which supports Making Strides against Breast Cancer. The varsity cheerleaders will be selling pink ribbon tattoos. The football players will wear pink socks.
Students are faculty will take part in a special Breast Cancer Walk at the end of the month.
