GRAND BLANC -- A local church is taking part in a nation-wide protest to stand up for religious freedom.
The Holy Family church in Grand Bland hosted the "Stand up for religious freedom rally" Saturday.
The rally takes a stand against the health and human services mandate proposed in the new health care law.
It is the third peaceful protest of its kind to be held nation-wide.
