Making strides against breast cancer in Mid-Michigan

Everyday in Michigan, more than 21 woman are diagnosed with breast cancer.

Kroger along with the American Cancer Society is taking a stand by sponsoring the nationwide "Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk."

Fore more than 20 years the American Cancer Society has been fighting the battle and they say since they have begun raising funds, the breast cancer mortality rate dropped 32 percent.

The walk in Saginaw County will be held at Krossroads park. Registration is at 8:00 a.m., the walk begins at 9:00 a.m.

The walk in Genesee County will be held in Downtown Flint. Registration is at 8:30 a.m., the walk begins at 9:30 a.m. Meet at the flat lot downtown.

Registration for the walk is free but donations are accepted.
