GRAND BLANC -- Earlier this week the friends of Grand Blanc dog park broke ground for a new dog park. Now their holding their second annual Howl-o-ween walk.

“Any kind of animal dog bone milk bone they are pretty much getting it today,” said Vanessa Ferguson.

Five dollars entered each pup into the walk. The money is going towards the group’s efforts to raise funds for the off-leash dog park.

“We are taking Jackson out today. Today is all about the dogs. This is funding the new dog park going in here so this is awesome,” said Bleicher family.

Prizes were awarded for costumes including gift certificates to kennels around the area. As well as a gift basket of dog goodies.

“The money we raise today will be for some landscaping and things before winter,” said Ferguson.

“Hopefully once everything is up we can come out and take her to the dog park,” said Chris Christensen.

All the money for the park’s construction was raise from private donors and no tax dollars will be used to build it.
