VIENNA TWP -- A 61-year-old man died when an explosion occurred inside his barn located along North Elms Road.
Genesee County Sheriff, Robert Pickell tells NBC25 that the man was working on a car with a blow torch when an explosion occurred around 1p.m.
Sheriff Pickell says the man's wife heard the explosion and ran to the barn to find the man trapped inside.
She was unable to get him out of the vehicle.
The Clio Fire Department and the Montrose Fire Department responded to the scene.
The man's identity has not been released.
